Arabic Language Arts Department Hosts Writers Union

On Monday, 28/10/2024, (Syrian Cultural Days in Iraq) witnessed a morning critical and poetry session in the hall of the Faculty of Alyarmok University, and the session was held in cooperation between the college, the General Union of Writers and Writers in Iraq – General Center, and the Union of Writers and Writers in Diyala, in the hospitality of the Department of Arabic Language Literature at the college, amid an elite presence of a number of poets, intellectuals, critics, faculty members and students of the college, the morning session was dedicated to talking about (trends of modern Syrian poetry) lectured by the Syrian critic and poet Dr. .Dr. Nizar Breik Hneidi, who then recited a collection of his poems, in the presence of Syrian literary figures: In the presence of Dr. Ghannam Muhammad Khader, a member of the Executive Office of the General Union of Writers and Writers in Iraq and Secretary of Arabic Affairs in Iraq, Dr. Muhammad Karim Al-Kawaz, Head of the Department of Arabic Language Literature, Dr. Muhammad Ali Ghanawi, and Dr. Ghazai Dara’a Al-Taie contributed to the symposium’s dialogues.
